What started as a retirement hobby has become a family mission spanning three countries. After decades as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at a major Sri Lankan state bank, Lionel Ranwaka chose to spend his golden years on a cinnamon garden in Matara, Sri Lanka. What began as a simple way to “pass the time” quickly revealed itself as something extraordinary.
His sons, Thushara and Ishara, watched their father's small operation selling raw cinnamon sticks locally and saw the potential for something much bigger. This wasn't just any cinnamon — this was authentic Ceylon cinnamon, grown in its ancestral homeland by someone who brought banking precision to traditional farming.
The Evolution: From a retiree's hobby to an international family business committed to sharing the world's finest cinnamon. We practice organic, sustainable farming on our 4‑acre plot, with dreams of creating a boutique villa experience where visitors can participate in the complete cinnamon journey — weeding, peeling, making oil and powder.
